The authority said it would immediately ban Open AI and investigate privacy concerns. The Italian watchdog says that in addition to banning ChatGPT, it will also investigate whether it complies with the General Data Protection Regulation.

The Italian watchdog said the application breached data related to user conversations and payment information.
